The team at Argrove Counselling have created a culture that is compassionate, supportive and fun.  Our beautifully appointed therapy rooms are spacious and filled with natural light. 

We love our work and are passionate about building strong therapeutic relationships with our clients.   

 

Our small practice is well regarded amongst our referrers, and we are becoming known for our special interest in working with clients who have experienced psychological trauma, from single event traumas to more complex trauma histories.

 

Demand for our services is continuing to grow and we are looking for trauma informed therapists whose values align with ours.

You may feel drawn to working with us if:

  • You are warm, compassionate, have a sense of humour and want to be part of a team that value and respect each other.

  • You love working with, or have an interest in working with, trauma. You also have a willingness to work with the complexity that often comes with working alongside clients who have a history of complex trauma.

  • You value ongoing professional learning and personal development.

  • You have undertaken at least Level 1 EMDR training or willing to do so.

  • You enjoy integrating evidenced based, trauma informed and relational approaches such as Schema Therapy, IFS, Polyvagal Theory into your practice.  Experience or interest in working from an attachment based and neurobiological frame-work would be a bonus.

  • You are interested in a long-term position where you can build longer term therapeutic relationships with clients.

 

The positions

We have 2 part- time positions available:

  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician

  • Adult Mental Health Clinician

We will also consider combining the two part-time positions into one position for a therapist who enjoys working with children, adolescence and adults.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years post qualification experience as either a

  • Mental Health Social Worker (Accredited) or

  • Mental Health Occupational Therapist or

  • Registered Psychologist
